It seems like lately I only ever have blogging time on Friday afternoons when I am home from work early. Uggh! Not that much blog-worthy events have occured this week. Work had been okay. I arranged for a workshop to be held at our office yesterday on gay/lesbian/bi/trans issues and youth. It was a wonderful presentation with trainers from a local organization that helps youth with identity issues. I am so glad the event went over well--it was the first time I ever planned one of these trainings despite being on the programming committee for several years now.
My birthday celebration was fun last weekend. Chris took me out to see the DaVinci Code and to Casablanca for dinner. The movie was disappointing but dinner was great! I love Moroccan food and Chris was a good sport for putting up with my weird tastes. (Weird to him, not me!) My parents had a little dinner party for me on Sunday. The kids were really cute and a lot of fun. Issy enjoyed her cake more than her yogurt. They had fun playing outside with toys from my childhood!
I finished planting my herb garden last weekend. I am hoping that the basil yields several large batches for pesto. I also picked up a new bay laurel mini-tree and some scented geraniums. One is rose-scented and the other is peppermint.
Have a great weekend!
