For Valentine's Day I got a day off from work, thanks to the first "big" storm of the year. There really is little snow, a few inches at best, but after a night of sleet/frozen rain the roads have been deemed too dangerous to navigate. So I have not been to work all week yet, due to two sick days. My cold is better, thanks to over two days of extra sleep. Today I have spent the afternoon like a bum watching Project Runway repeats back to back. I really could not be a designer--I hate most of the designs they create. There really isn't much on daytime tv, despite having every single cable channel in existence. Since I haven't felt like doing anything but lay on the couch or in bed for three days, tv is a distractor.
I realized that I do not own size four needles of any type! They are the size I need to knit the clementine shawlette. I have Lorna's Laces sport weight wool in the bittersweet color way that I bought on sale a few months ago. It is the perfect yarn for the project, but needs fours. I am shocked that with all the needles I own, none are fours! So, when the roads are more passable, I will be off to buy some fours--I even have a gift card from Michael's, who I think sells Clover Bamboo needles, which lately I prefer (although I still love my addi turbos!)
Besides watching tv yesterday, I read the entire manual that came with my new cell phone--talk about bored! I now can reasonably use all the features I need on my pink razr, which I got free when Chris bought his new phone. It is cute and lightweight and even has my favorite U2 song as the ringer!
Happy Valentine's Day!
