Last week I pulled out my bread maker, the first time in months, and made a loaf of oatmeal bread. It was yummy and the kiddo was so excited to have homemade bread. So excited that he hugged me and told me that I was the best friend ever for making him homemade bread! I'm not sure exactly what about the bread was so awesome that it elicited such a great response, but I think it's a signal that I should be making bread more often.
I caught the bug that my son and husband have had for the past week and it's hit me hard today. I've had a sore throat for a couple of days but today I just feel lousy. I am planning to take the kiddo to the Flower Show tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to get through the day, as it's exhausting usually!
Despite feeling like just going to bed, someone has to feed this family, so I will make this menu plan now and hope that I stick to it!
Monday: fish tacos
Tuesday: chicken soup from sticky chicken....just in case I'm still sick!
Wednesday: Crispy Southwest chicken wraps....found this on Pinterest!
Thursday: Meatballs and pasta....using some of the Gold'n Plump ground chicken I received to try it out in my meatball recipe. (I'll do a separate post later this week on it!)
Friday: Stromboli and salad (I've been making our pizza dough the past couple of weeks when I didn't have dough from Trader Joe's and it's been really good!)
Weekend: TBD!
