This is the cake that I made for my niece's birthday party. I have been out of practice from decorative icing, but I like how it turned out. It took a very long time to make, and still tasted great. In the close up, you can see the individual little icing stars that make up her body. There is actually a dye kit just for Dora, including her skintone. I think that one could literally furnish their home in Dora related merchandise. Here is the birthday girl (right) and friend with her cake.

Today is the super bowl. I am still not a football fan, but Chris' absolutely favorite team is playing, so I am a fan for the day. I am making him football game type foods, such as wings and nachos. I figure homemade junk food has to be healthier than from the local hoagie shop. I am all ready to spend the game knitting!
